對獨立製片而言，PMW-F3 的性能跟價位絕對是好物
但好還想更好，以目前 F3 內建記錄格式而言，對於後期調光無疑是種限制

還好，F3 預留了解除封印的 HD-SDI Dual Link 端子
不僅可輸出 1080/60p 的訊號，還可透過選購新增 RGB 4:4:4 跟 S-Log

因此 Sony 計畫推出一套名為 SR memory recorder 的裝置來支援上述需求
不過... 以它歸屬在 HDCAM SR 家族的角度來看，猜測其價位應該不菲

當時就推測市場應該會有 3rd party 願意跳下來做類似的商品，搶占中階的價格帶
消息指出 nanoFlash 的製造商 Convergent Design 今年將推出一個全新裝置

「Gemini」4:4:4 Recorder

這個 nanoFlash 的進階版，除了將原有的位元數由 8-bit 提升到 10-bit
更符合 HD-SDI 的規範外，也支援 1080/60p 的紀錄模式
甚至未來連 3D 的紀錄模式也可擴充，並採用 1.8 吋 SSD 做為記錄媒體

重點來了... 這個裝置的售價暫定在美金 6,000，因此絕對是敗 F3 者必敗好物！
